Gardenia Fresca Restaurant

Going back to Gardenia Fresca at Coca Cola Village, Matina last 2nd week of October was a surprise travel for me since I didn’t know it’s the last day of my former officemate Merricel, we set a special lunch treat for her, who just bid farewell since she just resigned from work.

A blend of fun and playfulness while clicking with my new dlsr turned into a fun shots for us that day and that’s another reason why we choose Gardenia over other restaurants because of its accessibility, it’s near our office and most of all the place was nice, very serene, and the food was cheap and reasonable.

We ordered their local specialty dishes PINAKBET, SISIG & SINUGLAW.

We loved their Pinakbet. The mixture of stir-fried vegetables simmered with pork and spices complete with the ingredients that makes it tasted good. We ate a lot of pinakbet over sisig and sinuglaw. But still, all dishes absolutely satisfied our taste buds. If I recall it correctly we paid no more than P600 pesos for everything.

After emptying our dishes, we rest for awhile and took pictures of us. I loved most the nearby river, I find it romantic.

To sum it all although the restaurant doesn’t really offer much different for us, the good food, ambiance and the view are absolutely worth your try.
