A TRIBUTE TO OUR GREAT LOLA PACING

A TRIBUTE TO OUR GREAT LOLA PACING

Our Lola Pacing was a wonderful grandmother, mother, wife, friend… Widowed at the age of 38, she was left with 10 children; Luz, Rudy, Ruben, Bebe, Buboy, Inday, Jun, Nanding, Eddie & Tessie.

Indeed, life wasn’t so easy on her. How could we forget what our parents once told us, about Lola sold her pair of shoes she used on her wedding day just to buy herself a “bolo”. Funny, but it’s true they say. Our Lolo Eleno did not leave her a chest of gold nor a bank deposit for her and their kids. But our dear Lolo Eleno left our Lola Pacing with acres of land to be tilled. Eventually her labors were paid of…

From the moment our Lolo Eleno departed from this world, Lola Pacing devoted her time, energy and love to her kids and to the Lord. She never failed to teach us how gracious and merciful the Lord is and that we should find time for the Lord as she did most of her life. As we got older we came to realize how much our Lola had sacrificed, so that we could have what we needed. That, we are positive she knew how much we respected and loved her and always will.

Our Lola Pacing was the greatest, if not the perfect Lola, one could ever think of. To all her 25 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, she is and was our Super Star, Mega Star, Diamond Star and Star for All Seasons. It is no question how we, her little angels have been and will become the tiny bright stars that will forever shine after her.

This wonderful loving woman never missed any special event in her kids and her grand kids lives, was there for every birthdays, school events, graduations, christenings and many others.

Even with her frail body, her sickness could not destroy her soul or her heart, filled with love and warmth for her family.

We all had a chance to say how we thanked her and loved her so, each and every one of us and then she took her last breath early of June 12, 2009 at 7:40 AM at the Medical Center of Digos Cooperative.

We all wished to spend more time with you, laugh with you and to celebrate our success and achievements with you. But God had other plans for you. We will miss you so very much, Lola. You will be in our thoughts every day for the rest of our lives, as we see you in ourselves, in our siblings and great, great grandchildren, by your expression and your gesture and your smile.

Other than the material things you left behind, you have left us with a beautiful legacy of your love, which certainly we will cherish always.

Thank you Lola for the wonderful memories of a wonderful childhood as well as all the love and support and the friendship you have shown us all our lives. Knowing you are no longer suffering makes it a little easier to bear loosing you.

Lola without you in our lives it will never be the same. We still have a hard time knowing you’re no longer here with us, but we know that you are now our very own special guardian angel to watch over us up above with your love as you did here on Earth.

We try not to shed many tears Lola, as you hated to see us unhappy or sad, but it is very hard at times with missing you not too.

It may seem unreal for all of us, but don’t worry Lola, we love life and our family just as much as you did. We will be okay.

Goodbye Lola, till we meet again…
